(CRI) Chinese charity, the China Children and Teenager's Fund, has signed-up a famous actress to help promote a program that assists children with hearing loss.
Award-winning Chinese actress, Mei Ting says she's honored to be a spokesperson for the charity.
"I felt astonished today as I was informed that a girl who I met just now was actually born with hearing loss but could improve her hearing abilities with artificial cochlea implants. With the advancement of technology, tremendous changes have taken place in their life. So I feel it's a great honor to speak for the program that would work to help these children's destiny."
It's estimated around 20-thousand children are born with hearing disabilities every year in China.
