Popular TV hunk Li Guangjie, who has starred in many TV dramas including "Du Lala's Promotion", along with famous actress Wang Luodan, will soon land onto a stage for new singing talents.
Li has recently been spotted recording at BTV for a new program "Kua Jie Ge Wang"("跨界歌王"), which is designed to expose excellent singing talents of actors and actresses beyond their already established acting skills.
Mentioning his participation in the program, Li said his decision has been made after a lot of hesitation.
"Before I made up my mind to join this TV program, I'd thought over and over again and was afraid my impro show would disappoint viewers. During rehearsals and the final recording process, some small accidents did take place, but all of which were well under my control."
Earlier, Chinese actor Pan Yueming and Hong Kong actress Nadia Chan have all vowed to stand on the BTV stage as a musician. Meanwhile, actress Liu Tao, Qin Hailu and many other big names are also expected to exhibit their music talent in this program.
Three judges for the show include famous songwriter and music producer Gao Xiaosong, CEO of Alibaba Music Group Song Ke and Malaysian Chinese award-winning singer-songwriter Eric Moo.
In front of this heavyweight trio in the music industry, Li Guangjie is frank about his anxiety.
"I didn't know the three judges before this program and I only watched their previous TV programs. Although I felt that they are all lenient with the contestants, I still couldn't help getting nervous on that occasion and this leads me to recall how I had been faced with the college entrance exam."
Despite being a bit nervous, the actor also thinks being part of the new show would promise greater value rewards in the future towards his goal of being an admirable actor.
"This program enables me to communicate with more new people in different professions, thus it would enrich our experiences. I also reckon it is an opportunity to help nurture and strengthen my acting skills."
