(CRI) Chinese romantic comedy "Finding Mr. Right 2" hits a box office earning over 100 million RMB (around 15.45 million US dollars) on Friday- the first day of its debut.
The film stars Tang Wei and Wu Xiubo, who have already cooperated in the original film of "Finding Mr. Right".
It hit screens just before the May Day Holiday which usually sees box office hikes.
The film tells a story about the romance between a public relations staffer at a casino in Macau and a realtor based out of Los Angeles. They start to write to each other coincidentally for a book and then gradually fall in love.
The film is expected to become a surefire winner during the holiday.
